Designing a supporter economy for live streaming
AXY Live lets creators broadcast in real time and earn through virtual gifts and an in-app coin economy. I designed the mobile product end to end, from the first flows to the App Store.

What I did
- Designed the mobile app end to end, from the first flows to the App Store
- Designed the gifting, coin purchase and 9-tier SVIP status system
- Produced SVIP badges, frames and gifts with a JSON-based AI prompt system
The challenge
Live streaming depends on retention and repeat support. The product needed a motivation system that keeps viewers in a stream and turns occasional gifts into sustained support, tied directly into coin purchases.
Approach and design decisions
From sign-in to a live room
Sign-in offers phone, Google and Apple, a phone number is confirmed with a one-time code, and the home feed opens straight onto live rooms, so a new viewer reaches a stream in a few taps.

A behaviour-driven support economy
I designed the support economy around the in-app coin purchase flow, so every gift has a visible effect in the stream and a clear path to buying more.

Nine tiers of status
Supporters climb a 9-tier SVIP system that unlocks visibility and privileges: highlighted chat messages, priority placement and exclusive entry animations. Badges and levels show on the profile and in the viewer list.

Status that has to be kept
Top-tier status expires after a month of inactivity, and daily and weekly leaderboards add competition. PK battles between streamers turn support into a visible contest with a win or lose result.

Metrics before launch
Success metrics were agreed during design: gift conversion rate, average revenue per paying supporter, session duration and repeat supporter frequency.
How I used AI
SVIP badges, level frames and gifts were produced with AI inside a system: JSON-based prompt frameworks fixed palette, lighting, materials, perspective and detail density, so dozens of assets stayed coherent with the rest of the product.

The outcome
Delivered the full mobile experience, the status and gifting system, the asset library and the App Store presence, with success metrics ready for launch.
